3 tips on keeping your Youtube channel from getting flagged

3 tips on keeping your Youtube channel from getting flagged

After hearing about and witnessing a number of  Youtube channels get flagged and removed, I decided to pour over the Terms and Conditions and Community Guidelines and see how to protect my YouTube channel.

I have over 520 videos on my channel and have compared my channel to others whose channels have got flagged after 100 or so videos and have come up with a few things so far!

Those misleading marketing titles

You have seen them.  “XYZ scam – Don’t join XYZ they scammed me” and then in the video the person is a member of XYZ.  Granted the title is somewhat attention grabbing it goes against the grain and could be labeled as misleading.

If you have an excessive amount of videos like this, standby to get flagged!

Talk about your title

Again with the misleading marketing, using another company’s or product to bash or talk about and then redirecting to your company or product, again this could be construed as misleading.

It’s ok if you have a handful (5-10) but if every other video is like this, standby to get flagged!

Mix it up a bit

If every video is a product review then that could be looked at as spam.  Mix it up a bit.  I talk about life lessons, my experience, things to look out for, my blog posts on generic marketing information, etc.

In the past I’ve only uploaded videos about my business (Big Profit System) but that puts one in a precarious position and it’s vital to mix it up.

Mixing it up also adds to the overall channel’s authority and the more diverse content the better!

I hope you got some value out of this as I have just read the community guidelines and TOS right before writing this.  I suggest giving it a once over every couple of months to keep your stuff protected.

Also back up all your videos on a hard drive in case because there are some haters out there!  Lastly, keep your videos short and to the point.  Youtube has a data base but if every one of your videos is 20 minutes long about the same topics again standby to get flagged!

3 reasons not to sleep on Google Plus or Blogger

3 reasons not to sleep on Google Plus or Blogger

So going down the never ending SEO hole of my internet marketing fairytale, I have recently discovered something very cool things with Google+ and Blogger!

Nothing here is new but it’s new to me since I have recently learned these things embarrassingly enough and of course going to tell the world through it through my own +blogger blog!

Shout outs work!

What do I mean about shout outs?  Well I follow a guy named +Grant Cardone  on +YouTube  and because I just called him out, people who follow him may check out my blog.  It’s similar to using hashtags on Twitter, of course don’t over do it!

Also as a side note, if you aren’t following Grant Cardone go to his Youtube channel here and immediately get subscribed and plugged in!

Everything working together

Google+, Blogger, and YouTube are owned by Google and wouldn’t it make sense to play the Google game and get your marketing efforts plugged into these same avenues?  Everything I put on my blog here is linked to my Google+ and YouTube account.  The more links spidering back and forth the better.

Videos with Google hangouts rank

I have not personally experiemented with this one and I have researched a few people using this strategy and I have seen a lot of Google Hangout videos ranking over Youtube.  Youtube is still a money maker as far as SEO goes but don’t sleep on Google hangouts either!

Hopefully you got some value and leave a comment if you have learned anything.  Also duplicate content doesn’t hurt SEO particularly but it doesn’t help either!

3 Free Marketing ideas that compound daily

3 Free Marketing ideas that compound daily

In marketing there are tons of things you can do on a daily basis.  Some of those things, such as classified ad posting, are like filling up a bucket with a hole in the bottom and have to be done everyday.  Some things, such as when you read this entire post and leave a comment, will have a compounding effect.

Videos

Youtube has to be the number one place everyone goes and can be a great place to start but don’t forget about Blip TV, Vimeo, Viddler, and UStream.  I’m sure there are many others but you get the idea.

Don’t put all your video marketing eggs in one basket.  In fact, I know of 3 different people who have had their YouTube channel deleted because of haters who like to flag marketing videos.  It’s also a good idea to save all your videos on a portable harddrive.

The more blog posts on various topics you have all over the internet the better.  As with videos, it’s probably a good idea not to have all your blogging eggs in one basket either.  At the moment of writing this, I only have 2, one free and one paid platform.

Why pay for a blogging platform?  I choose to because I’m paying for my protection in essence.  Imagine having written over 5,000 blog posts only to have your blog hacked or deleted!

Leaving comments on other videos and blogs

Here is another biggie!!  When you leave a comment on people’s blogs and videos, it creates a backlink which benefits you and the other person.  I have found a lot of people who don’t want to do this and there is no valid reason to not leave a comment

The more videos, blog posts, and comments you have out there equals the more people who will find you every day.  At first you may not get any results, but if you have a daily plan and just stick it out, eventually people will start finding you on a daily basis and you won’t be able to turn that traffic off!

You can start now when you leave a comment!

No one read my blog posts until I made this one tweak…

I’m a pretty hard headed guy sometimes so it took me a long while and over 1,000 blog posts to figure this out.

Before I get into the tip, I want you to understand that this isn’t some off the cuff thing and as you read this entire blog post you will see “it” in action.

I have been listening to a lot of world class speakers (Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, Marschall Sylver, SteveSeibold, etc) and picked up on a commonality.

They tell stories.  Instead of saying “don’t do xyz” they simply tell a story that contains that same lesson.

Virtually everyone does right!  Why do you think they REMEMBER the stories.

Think about it!  How did I get you to read this entire post?

I did because this is something that benefits YOU.  When you blog write to benefit others.  We are all naturally selfish and it can take a bit of work but once you make the shift getting people to read your blog becomes easier!

Discover how ATTENTION gets you MORE MONEY

You want more money in your business, as we all do right?

As you probably already know that more attention for your business gets you more money but how do you GET ATTENTION.  When you read this blog post in it’s entirety you will have a basic understanding on how to get more attention for your business.

If you aren't making money in your online business, then you just need to get more ATTENTION!  CLICK TO TWEET

The number one is you have to solve a problem.  Well Duh!!! Right?

You will always get attention when you provide a solution to a problem.  Let me take that a step further, solve a specific problem.  Answer a specific question and you get a more targeted response.  Does this make sense?

The reason you are glued to my words is because you know that I’m right and I’m speaking directly to you.

When you look at social media, blogs, etc and really start to pay attention to the marketing, banner ads, the words being used, you will start to see patterns.  You will start to distinguish between what’s working and what’s not.  You will even get to a place where you will know, just based on your observations, whether that site is making any money or not.

Just something to think about so go out there and get some attention!

Don’t make my mistakes Track your Stats to stay positive

In the past I hardly kept track of my stats in any of my marketing campaigns.  Every since I started tracking my stats, I have a much better picture about which of my marketing is working and most importantly what is not working.

Everything I do now is tracked.  I know how many leads I get from my Youtube videos, blog posts, traffic exchanges, solo ads, and even from comments left of other people’s blog posts and sometimes videos.

Leaving comments on blog posts and videos helps everyone! CLICK TO TWEET

I know understand that on average I get a 10% opt in rate for ANY website.  It really doesn’t matter which capture page I use but I do know that capture pages with just the email box work far better than ones with the email, name, and phone number box!

I also have calculated that it takes about 100 (give or take 20-30) leads to bring in a new business partner.  Every time I bring in a new business partner I earn at least an extra $125 in residual income.  So I think about it like this..

Every time I get one new lead from my capture page I “earn” $1.25 because by the time I generate 100 that’s a new business partner!

If I never kept track of my numbers then after a while it’s very easy to get discouraged.  The more I started to pay attention to my numbers the more scientific it started to become.  It’s actually easy now.

I have figured out that when I am able to get 1000 unique view to my website everyday, I will be earning $125 per day.  1000 unique views X 10% opt in rate = 100 leads per day.  100 leads per day = 1 person becoming my new business partner!

It’s my goal to help as many people as I can on the internet and within my home town of Oceanside CA.  I work from home in Oceanside CAand it took a little bit of work but I succeeded in finally making some weekly money and it would be my pleasure to help you discover how to start earning online scientifically yourself.

As you can probably see not tracking your stats will discourage you because you won’t know what’s working, what’s not working, and what you should do more of.  I was shooting a lot of YouTube videos but in the beginning they were doing anything.  I spent most of my time shooting videos but my blog posts were actually performing better.

Once I learned that, I changed for a more balanced approach.  NOW my Youtube channel is getting bigger but I try to write and speak (video) every day and my blog and Youtube channel are starting to get traction.

Long story short, track your stuff and it will keep you motivation and moving forward!
