Intense burning desire, faith, and auto-suggestion!

Desire 

Intense burning desire, or as Napoleon Hill states white heat desire, is the first ingredient needed.  You have to want it as bad as you want to breathe, and that’s a quote of E.T. (the hip hop preacher/motivational speaker). 

If you want something bad enough, you will get it.  It is really that simple!  It doesn’t matter how long it will take, what you will have to do, or what stands in your way. 

Work on your desire until you have, literally, worked yourself up into an obsession.  Become consumed with your business, profession, or skill to the point to where you think of nothing else, and then you will become successful.

That is also why I am up at 3am writing this blog post.

Faith

If you don’t believe in yourself or what you are doing, then you will not succeed.  This has to be a deep down core belief that what you are doing will work and you that will make it work. 

Also on the other hand, if you don’t believe that what you are doing will work then you will not work hard at it.  It goes hand in hand.

Auto-suggestion

Auto-suggestion is kind of like affirmations or reciting a certain phrase or goal that you hope to obtain.  Even reading a good positive thinking oriented book is a form of auto-suggestion.

I’m not a big advocate of auto-suggestion and I know that I need to work harder at implementing it in my own life.  The hang up with me is finding an appropriate phrase to use.  I heard you have to find something that’s believable for you to obtain at the same time gets you real excited.

There is so much more I got from just those three chapters but am trying to keep these posts short and readable!

I have joined the Empower Network (my online blogging business, in fact you can click here to join yourself) and have been following the 8 core commitments.  One of those commitments is to read daily.

I have since decided to do a little experiment with reading and my online business actually.  I picked the book “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill and my plan is to simply read the book twice a week for the next 12 weeks. 

There are a bunch of different reasons why I’m choosing to read it so many times and over the course of the next few weeks will get into that.

I also plan on explicitly documenting what’s going on in my life in reference to my studying Think and Grow Rich and my business by blogging at least once a day!

I really want to see if reading really does influence and affect your life, well my life for you to see if you want to do the same things for yourself.

I have been relentlessly working on my negative and pessimistic attitude and this is part of that process.

So the plan is to read 5 chapters a day for 6 days a week, taking Sundays off to read other materials and such.

I am starting from essentially zero and am starting today actually.  I have made about $150 so far in Empower and have a few passive programs to where I’m earning a minimal amount each week.

My plan is to document where I go from where I am now to see exactly how the reading of Think and Grow Rich affects me.

Why blogging is the easiest way to make money online

Seriously blogging is the absolutely easiest way to make money online!  It’s not the program, business, or opportunity that you are in.  It is blogging! 

Think about it!

If you have a great home business already (if you don’t click here) the only thing you need to do is get people to see the opportunity presentation.  Now, what is hard about that?  Really there is nothing hard about this.

Just get people to see your business opportunity by any means necessary.  Sounds easy enough right? 

Now there are different ways to go about this (marketing right).  So you can either do home meetings, prospect, bother people at Starbucks, pass out flyers, write articles, use social media, and bother family and friends.  To me that sounds like a big waste of time, boring, and downright shady.

I don’t like bothering family and friends unless my lifestyle is so ridiculous and crazy that they are attracted and wondering what it is that I am doing.  (no I wouldn’t consider myself at that point, yet)

What do I like to do?

Well if you were paying attention you would know that I blog.  These same blog posts will be on the internet forever.  The more blog posts I have out there running my mouth about things equals the more chances people will see my business opportunity.

It’s just that simple.  I write blog posts and people see them.  People see them and wonder what business I am in.  People see what business I am in and join me.  The only thing I have to do is blog whenever I feel like it.

It comes back to your belief and it’s easy to see how blogging will start to make you money once you make your first sale.  At first I didn’t believe it but then I made my first $150 and I haven’t even talked to the person who bought from me.

It’s just that simple!

On Reading “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill

So I am just about to finish my fourth time through Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and as with other books, I get so much out of concurrent readings!

While it’s hard to really explain the full array of benefits that I got from reading this, I will highlight a few key points.

Can one really think themselves rich?

Well, it’s not so much thinking about getting rich to get rich.  It’s more so about changing ones attitude and way of thinking, in order to get to a better place in life.  It’s about changing your thinking to position yourself in a better place allowing you to make more money.

There are a lot of fears out there and it’s essential that we make ourselves immune to them.  Fear will create pessimism, procrastination, and just simply a poor attitude.  I have been subject to these for most of my life as I am sure everyone has!

The ability to think accurately; without fear, worry, or anxiety, is what will bring on the riches.

It seems so easy but it’s really a life long process.  Zig Ziglar has a name for it in which he calls it being a SNOIP.  A SNIOP is a person who is Subject to the Negative Influences of Other People.  Other people aren’t the only sources of negative influences either!

The media should be avoided at all costs as it provides a mass fear producing mechanism and if people are afraid, then they aren’t making themselves productive to society or even just themselves!

Another big thing I’m learning (stay with me here) is that every thought that has been thought is still in the ether.  Every thought ever thought by you is now a permanent part of your subconscious!  Even the thought you maybe having right now that you think I’m crazy but it’s true!

When I was a Marine, I remember doing an operation on a ship off the coast of Camp Pendleton.  On ship we work with HF frequencies and the interesting thing is that when the radio is on and silent, you can STILL HEAR TRANMISSIONS that were broadcast YEARS AGO!  It’s kind of spooky but interesting. 

Thoughts are frequencies which do the same exact thing!

The whole idea is to simply think more positive about everything and try to feel as good as you can.

On Reading “Ask and It Is Given” by Jerry and Esther Hicks

I have read “Ask and It Is Given” by Jerry and Esther Hicks for the fifth time through and every time I go through that book I gain something (well a bunch of things) new each time.

The first time through it I didn’t quite know where I stand on the Law of Attraction.  I mean I don’t feel like one can just sit and expect riches, lovers, and a great life to come rushing to you and beating down your door. 

I do know that it takes work to make anything happen.  For example it takes work to make money or it takes working out, being educated, and just a nice person to attract a lover.  In those examples, it isn’t necessarily going out and working for more money, or looking for a lover.

It is working more so on yourself to make yourself “attract” those things.  Does that make sense? 

I was coming from where you have to look for those things instead of working on yourself to attract those things.

So, in essence, I can agree with that portion of the Law of Attraction in that I must work my butt off to make money but the difference being I must work my butt off on myself to become a bigger and better person rather than working on a particular job, per se. 

I still must work hard and put forth 100% effort at whatever it is that I am doing for work but more so, I must continue to stretch myself and know that I must become better. 

I think it is best said that “He helps those who helps themselves” and taking that to apply to the Law of Attraction that “it helps those who helps themselves!”

Finding joy in the process is also a major key that I got from “Ask and It Is Given!”  If you aren’t enjoying what you are doing, then you will not have a great attitude about what it is, and in the end will not succeed at it.

If you want to attract success, then you must start with a great attitude about whatever it is that you are doing, and then continue to do it.  In doing so, the Law of Attraction will come to your aid!

I know about this more than anything else.  I get so frustrated sometimes especially when it comes to online marketing.  I have to consciously remind myself that only 1 out of every 100 people will truly be interested in most of the things that I am marketing.

Sometimes it’s a little bit better than 1 out of 100 but if I keep that number in mind, it doesn’t annoy me too much.  I don’t know why I really get annoyed I mean I know how many blog posts I need to write to get a certain amount of leads and I know how many leads before I make a sale.

Nonetheless, sometimes I get so angry at where I am in life compared to where I could be.  I sometimes try to take a step back and compare myself now to where I was about 2 years ago and that usually helps.

Most of the time my frustration comes from impatience.  So I use these blog posts to push through my impatience and to keep moving forward!

It’s actually very easy to get leads through blogging. 

How do you do it?  Just blog.  Actually I would recommend power blogging for 90 days and then blogging once a day after that.  I would write 500 blog posts over the course of 90 days which is just over 5 blog posts per day.  Then after that you can scale back to 1 blog post a day!

You can take longer or even shorter but just get your blog to 500 blog posts.  Why do I say that?  I say that because that brings in daily leads for whatever business you are promoting for free. 

I just write blog posts and I get a steady trickle of leads every single day.  I also have it figured out to every 21 leads I get, I get a sale.  So basically I need to continue writing blog posts until I get 21 leads a day to get one sale a day.  Right now I’m at about 1 sale a week.

That’s a hell of a lot better than no sales a week.  It takes time to build up content but once you have a nice base, it will be worth it.

So I have only been blogging and sharing my blog on Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.  Blogging is the only strategy that I am using to do this and I’m doing this for a reason.

I know that over time that the more blog posts that I have on here equal the more people that will find my blog on a daily basis.  That’s just natural.  I also originally thought that I only had to blog about “making money” and etc but that’s not the case either!

I wrote blog posts on Crossfit, surviving Marine Corps bootcamp, reasons I feel so against divorce, and etc.  I know that everyday I get a trickle of leads anywhere from 1-5 through my blog posts.  I only have written about 300 or so!

I also have averaged it out and for every 21 leads I get, I make one sale.  So, the only thing that I need to do is continue to blog!  It really is that simple and in case you are wondering I’m 10 leads away from my next sale!

What can be any easier than that?

Who the hell wants to Power Blog anyways?

I was actually going through the Costa Rica Intensive by Dave Wood and it hit me like a ton of bricks. 

I have been running my mouth about why I recommend power blogging (writing 5-10 blog posts per day) and it just hit me.  Who the hell want to do that? 

I mean if you wanted to make money online, what’s easier?  Is it easy for the average person with responsibilities and just life.  Life has its own challenges and the last thing that anyone ever wants to do, is create more of a challenge then what they already are dealing with.

Think about it.  I didn’t get into the online internet marketing industry to create another job for myself and that’s exactly what I turned it into.

I mean just like when I was in the Marine Corps, don’t get me wrong I loved being a Marine, but let’s face it.  The Marine Corps controlled my life.  If I was getting deployed, what time I had to wake up, and even what I could or could not do on my own free time!

Even when I got out of the Marines and found a job restocking vending machines, where I was working 60 hours a week, I had no life outside of work.  I would be in at 3:30 AM and get done anywhere from 4-6 PM.  Come home, sleep, and wake up to start the same thing all over again.

Where exactly does that get me in life?  No retirement, no vacation, and no nothing!!

That’s why I looked online.  I unknowing was turning my blogging into another job.  I was turning my blogging into another chore that was the same exact thing.  I was taking all the fun out of it and that’s why I was not MAKING ANY MONEY!

Life should be fun.  Making money online should be fun and sexy.  If it doesn’t look fun, sexy, and easy (no comment) then who the hell want to do it anyways.

Life should be spent laughing, loving, and living.  Life should not be spent worrying, working, and wandering.

First what the heck is power blogging?

Power blogging is simply writing anywhere from 5-10 blog posts per day!  Cranking out content.  Cranking out lots of content and doing it on a daily basis!

Why would anyone want to power blog?

It’s simple!  The more good quality content you have on your website will bring you more people to your website.  The more people visit your website will bring you higher rankings in the search engines.  All that will ultimately bring you more exposure and more money!

How to power blog?

Simple, just keep cranking out as much content as humanly possible.  Your blog posts don’t have to be long.  Just pick 5-10 ideas per day and try to squirt out at least 150 words per idea.

How long should I power blog?

Do it for at least 90 days and when you have about 500 blog posts on your blog, then you can scale down to 1 blog post per day.  Get to 1000 blog posts and then you can do 1 blog post per week.

Why?

Again the more content, the more blog posts, the more ideas, the more random stuff you blog about will, in the long run, bring you more money!

What will happen if I don’t power blog?

People like me and my websites will eventually beat you out because I’m crazy enough to keep doing it!

This one is an easy one.  I just power blog and I get leads online for my Empower Network business.  What do I mean by power blog?

Power blogging is writing 5-10 blog posts per day!  My blog posts are nothing fancy.  Most of my posts are around 200-300 words per post.  The reason I like blogging is because I can run my mouth about whatever while passively promoting my business!

Blogging is also free and anyone can do it who is creative enough.  If you are creative, then you can always find someone and pay them to do it for you!

Why blog?

Well in internet land content is king and rules over everything.  If you have more content than the other guy, then your website will get seen more often than his.  It really is just that simple and it boils down to plain numbers!

Just think, every blog post that is written stays on the internet indefinitely and the more posts you have equal the more “advertisements” you have out there!

Just create lots of blog posts and you will get leads, traffic, and dollars!

It’s actually very simple!  There are two steps that you have to accomplish to do this. 

Number one
